May 19 South Shore Hospital Panel Discussion

I was invited to participate in a panel discussion two days ago. This was organized by the hospital leadership and risk management and consisted of two other physicians, a psychiatrist and an internist, besides myself. After brief introductions we fielded a host of questions from the audience which consisted mostly of nurses and physicians. There was a lot of interest in the topic of medical malpractice and healthcare providers can mitigate the stress and trauma the experience during this process. Hopefully there will be many more such discussions…
